Egypt B&W

These photos are from one of two trips to Egypt I took in 1985. I traveled from Cairo and then south to Aswan.
They were shot with a Canon F-1 and a variety of FL lenses on Ilford Pan-F film.
These were scanned using a Nikon Coolscan 5000. Other galleries have my Kodachromes.

Man and Sheafs
Street Scene in Karnak. I was on a horse drawn buggy on the way to the Karnak Hotel. The cost there was seven Egyptian pounds a night (about five dollars), in 1984.
Aswan_market2 - Version 2
This was shot from the train on the way to Aswan. I was on a 'First Class' car, but I discovered I could open the door to get a clear shot and no one seemed to mind. The windows were too filthy to photograph through.
